VLC for Android is moving steadily towards a stable release, as a new flavor of the app has been pushed out in beta, namely version 0.1.1.

The new app iteration was meant to resolve some of the issues that version 0.1.0 was bound to be affected by, though no specific details on the matter have been provided.

Available with support for Android devices running under OS 2.1 or newer, the application provides users with the possibility to enjoy the features of the popular media player while on the go.

The software comes with support for all files and formats that the classic VLC app can play, and also for subtitles, media library, search, network streams, and other features as well.

Those who would like to take VLC for Android Beta 0.1.1 for a spin will find it available on this page on Softpedia.
