VideoLAN announced a couple of days ago that they were in the process of preparing the Mac version of VLC 2.0.3 for release later this week. Today they delivered the new build, which adds support for OS X Mountain Lion.

Furthermore, overall stability on OS X has been improved as there are fixes for handling some hotkeys, for full-screen toggle over extra interfaces and other minor bug fixes.

The new release also repairs support for some FLV files and eliminates a crash that occurred when trying to open APE files carrying ID3v1 tags.

Additional changes include updates for 18 translations and support for Uzbek and Marathi. The full changelog is available here.

Windows users will have to wait a little longer to see a new build as VLC 2.0.2 remains the latest release for the platform.
