VK Mobile, the Korean manufacturer of mobile handsets, has announced its participation at the CeBIT 2006 convention with no less than 17 models. VK will exhibit the phones in five categories: "slim zone", "music zone", "stylish zone", "innovative zone" and "global zone".

In the innovation zone two trend handsets will be introduced, namely VK700C, an EV-DO (Evolution Data Only) phone which supports the CDMA data transfer standard and is capable of transfer rates of up to 2.4 Mb/s; and the VK7000, which offers support for high-speed multimedia services.

The slim zone consists of products which integrate the slim design with a variety of high-tech features, among them being the winner of the Red-Dot design award, the 8.8 mm super slim phone VK2000.

Other handsets from this category are the VK2200, the possessor of a 4 megapixel camera and MP3 player with MPEG4 capability, and the VK5000, which ensures high data transfer speeds via an EDGE chip (2.75G).

VK's stand at the exhibition will be positioned beside Nokia and Motorola, this clearly indicating its ability to compete with top mobile phones manufacturers. VK is the leader Korean phone producer which stands out by releasing handsets aimed at the fashion caring buyers.
