As LCD computer monitors are very popular, a rift normally appeared between the truly high solutions that offer high native resolutions and features and the more budget oriented displays that are coming with fewer bells and whistles while sporting affordable prices. The hardware manufacturing company ViewSonic plans to close that gap with its new range of affordable LCD based computer monitors that are set to offer the increased clarity, vibrant color and brightness typically found only on high end solutions, while keeping the price tags in the range of the entry and medium level products.

ViewSonic announced the launch of several new LCD computer monitors and they come in several sizes like the widescreen 19-inch VA1926w, 20-inch VA2026w and 22-inch (21.6-inch visible) VA2226w products while a traditional 4:3 aspect ratio 19 inch LCD monitor, the VA926, is available for users with limited desktop space to spare.

"Small and home offices need versatile, yet high-quality options for the multitude of applications they deal with on a day-to-day basis," said Jeff Volpe, vice president of marketing, ViewSonic Americas, in a press release concerning the launch of those products. "With these affordable LCD options, customers don't have to give up quality and clarity because of budget constraints."

The new computer monitors are coming equipped with a high, above average dynamic contrast ratio of 2000:1, which directly translates into better image quality and thanks to some innovative technologies, a significant reduction of light leakage to the darker portions of an image now takes place, allowing for better looking images especially when viewing the monitor from a wider angle.

As each of these newly launched monitors are coming with 300 nits of brightness for brilliant image and color quality and a ClearMotiv technology that provides 5 ms fast response times, they are well suited both for office and home applications like gaming and multimedia. All these new products from ViewSonic are Microsoft Windows Vista certified and thanks to the fact that they come factory equipped with both digital and analog connectors, they are able to link with a wider range of host computer setups.

The VA926 monitor comes with a native resolution of 1280x1024 and an aspect ratio of 4:3 while offering a very good price of $259 and a high overall image quality, the next models in line are the VA1926w, VA2026w and VA2226w LCD monitors that are coming with price tags ranging from $229 to $279, being specifically designed to optimize productivity thanks to their high desktop area that offers a panoramic view.
