VIA has released the latest WHQL Certified USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI) driver for the VL800 and VL801 Host Controllers. It is compatible with all of Microsoft's operating systems, starting from Windows XP to the latest one.

This release is based on V2.10A with a replaced UASP client driver, version 6.1.7600. 4002, and it has replaced the UASP application with revision 1.0.0.12.

VIA has worked on solving some issues as well. The driver disables performance enhancement so it can solve the high CPU utilization, and found an alternative solution for the UASP's cat files for resolving the separate OS issue.

The VL800 and VL801 are USB 3.0 chipsets that enable 4 USB port each, which can interface with 5 Gbps (Super-Speed), 480 Mbps (High-Speed), 12 Mbps (Full-Speed) or 1.5 Mbps (Low-Speed) USB devices.

You also must know that the package contains the drivers for both USB 3.0 host controller and UASP storage device, and that the UASP driver needs the VLI USB 3.0 Speeder Utility to work properly.

So, before installing the driver, it is recommended that you update the VIA xHCI PCIe Card with the latest firmware that supports UASP, and afterwards follow the link below:
