14 DAY TRIAL // VIA Technologies just announced a partnership with the QSound Labs company, one of the leading providers of audio and voice software applications, that is aimed at providing a superior sound technology that can be used with Microsoft Windows Vista enabled computer systems, including multimedia, laptop and desktop platforms. The technologies developed by VIA in collaboration with QSound Labs will soon be found integrated into the next generation of Vinyl High Definition Audio codecs and controllers.
The Vinyl pack of software codecs and hardware based sound controllers is aimed at allowing users to fully appreciate the high definition audio content that can be typically found in movies, music, games and other multimedia centered applications. The QSound software layer is backed up by the presence of the VIA Vinyl Audio hardware that combines several new technologies in order to deliver a top quality audio experience and even the desktop or notebook type computer speakers that are now widely available will offer a richer and better sound quality.

Among the integrated Qsound audio technologies that can be found implemented in the new VIA powered new audio chips, there are industry recognized solutions like the QXpander, QRumble, QSizzle, QEqualizer and other QSound audio enhancement algorithms. While QXpander acts as a sound enhancement technology, the QRumble provides more substance and warmth to the low frequency sounds.
The QSizzle technology on the other hand is implemented in order to take care of the high frequency sounds and enrich them with a powerful sonic punch, while the last of the QSound made technologies, QEqualizer is aimed at providing an unique multi-band equalizer that can be used in order to tune the overall response of the Sound QHD audio system.
