The company's Nano processor is among the products displayed

VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading manufacturer of power efficient x86 processor platforms, announced today a public demonstration of its VIA Nano processor and a host of leading edge embedded boards, peripherals and complete systems at Electronica 2008, which will be held in Munich, Germany, on November 11-14.

The company will show its Nano processor platform powering four panel displays simultaneously in a flexible digital signage configuration able to deliver Hi-Def video in tandem with a ticker tape information stream. Moreover, an intelligent home automation demonstration that includes the VIA VIPRO touch-panel system acting as a control unit and a VIA ARTiGO being the media player will also be on display.

The newest VIA EPIA Pico-ITX, Nano-ITX and Mini-ITX boards from VIA, including the VIA EPIA-P700, EPIA-N700 and EPIA-M700, respectively, will be featured by displayed board level products. The recently announced VIA EPIA-P710 Pico-ITXe board will be demonstrated in a stackable Pico-I/O configuration, while the new VIA VB8001 board, the first to feature the VIA Nano processor, will be presented.

The company will also show the VIA VIPRO, a fanless thin panel PC designed for HMI interface, kiosk and fleet management applications that need its IP65-compliant front panel which is dust and water resistant. Besides, VIA will demo how any standard monitor can be transformed into a signage unit in minutes courtesy of the VIA vmpc VESA-mounted PC's ultra thin profile and VESA mounting feature. The company's ultra compact VIA ARTiGO mini desktop PC playing the role of a media player in a home server configuration will be presented as well.
