According to most people, it's $29 thrown out the window.

There are innumerable silly gadgets around and among these, some of the so-called "office toys" rule supreme. Why? It's very simple: office equals work and work equals boredom, sometimes; therefore, certain devices crated especially to kill the boring moment at work have become highly popular. Now, some of them may easily fall in the "not suitable for work" category, due to their very stupid principle or because they are fun at the cost of a very acute annoyance for your colleagues.

In this context, most people would believe that the desktop toy I plan to present to you today is possibly the most cretin idea this year: it's the USB-powered Ferris Wheel, one thing they'd advise you to stay away from.

It is indeed a toy and there is little to none high-tech factor about it. You just plug it in a USB port and it will do the trick. But what a trick! Given the fact that the USB Key-controlled Ferris Wheel will be active only during the time you type something on your keyboard, I daresay that this "awesome" toy has not been designed but for those who randomly hit the keys on their keyboards. Watching this video and, most of all, listening to the sounds of that wheel will instantly make you understand how hard typing some coherent words is.

Now, if you plan to write only 4-letter words, the USB Key-controlled Ferris Wheel might prove to be a great help. Yet I can't imagine an editor having it plugged in and writing some article with all the silly action around him or her. If you've got a small baby who must be entertained somehow and you have to use the PC, the USB Key-controlled Ferris Wheel might find some reason, even if not enough by far, anyway.

Now, to end all this, I'll just add that the USB Key-controlled Ferris Wheel is worth $29 from your budget and an unknown number of nerve cells if you plan to use it. However, it would be better to gift-wrap it and give it to a person you want to mock.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .

This USB-powered Ferris Wheel is simply weird.
You type - the wheel turns. And it makes a silly noise. And it annoys you. And it's $29.
