A Utah woman was arrested after trying to set her ex-boyfriend's house on fire using an ample amount of bacon left burning on a gas stove.

According to Dlisted, Cameo Adawn Crispi from Uintah County kept texting and calling her ex-boyfriend on March 14 to no avail. Annoyed by her insistence, the ex-boyfriend called the Naples police in an attempt to make her stop.

When officers arrived on the scene, they were greeted by a thick smoke coming out the front door and a smell of crispy bacon in the air. The 31-year-old woman was still on the spot.

After putting out the fire, police arrested Crispi and accused her of a plethora of charges, including arson, burglary, intoxication, assault by a prisoner, interfering with an arresting officer and electronic communication harassment. She was arraigned on Wednesday in 8th District Court and is due to appear in court on April 14.

But before caging her, they took her to the hospital for a medical clearance because she was obviously intoxicated. Her blood alcohol content measured at about 0.346.

“I asked to come in and observed a wood stove left open with a fire burning inside and hot coals on the floor around the stove,” a police officer wrote in the charging documents.

In the kitchen, the officer also found a cookie sheet with a pound of bacon on it placed on top of the gas stove. He also claims that the burner was on the highest setting, while the bacon was “smoking badly.”

At the hospital, when a doctor questioned her about the arson attempt, Miss Crispi allegedly admitted that she wanted to burn her ex-lover’s house down to get back at him.

With such high alcohol content, I'm surprised she didn't set herself on fire.
