The multi-platinum singer, who announced in 2005 that he was taking a break from performing, was just signed on to appear as the lawyer Billy Flynn in the long-running Broadway show, on occasion of its tenth year anniversary.
The sexy 27-year-old Usher said that he feels his career is just at its peak right now. Recently, after releasing a smashing music album, he has been involved in many projects in television and film. But the Broadway dream has always been just that, only a dream. Until now, that is.

The show produced by Barry and Fran Weissler has been running on Broadway since 1996 and it had many film versions done after it, the most famous one (and Oscar acknowledged) being released in 2004, with Richard Gere, Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the leading roles.
Usher's performance in the musical 'Chicago' will be seen from August 22 to October 1st.
