R&B singer Usher and ex-wife Tameka Foster are in mourning. Usher’s 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover was taken off life support and has died due to injuries sustained in a freak ski jet accident from earlier this month.

As we also reported at the time, Kyle and his family were vacationing on Lake Lanier when he was hit in the head by a ski jet.

He was admitted to the hospital immediately but never regained consciousness. Doctors pronounced him brain dead shortly thereafter, but he was still on life support.

Usher rushed to be with Tameka and comfort her the instant he learned the tragic news.

TMZ is now reporting that Tameka, Kyle’s mother and Usher’s ex wife, has decided to have him taken off life support.

“Doctors removed 11-year-old Kyle Glover from life support after it was determined the injuries were too severe to overcome. We're told Kyle's mother, Tameka Foster, struggled tremendously with the decision,” TMZ says.

Tameka is “understandably devastated,” the same media outlet reports. It is believed Usher is with her at this time.

“Glover was injured on July 8 as he was riding in an inner tube that was connected to a pontoon in Lake Lanier. According to authorities, a family friend who was riding a jet ski behind the pontoon lost control and collided with Glover's tube,” TMZ further notes of the incident.

Authorities are still investigating the tragic accident.

Usher and Tameka were married for just 2 years and, despite their current differences, they always put up a united front for the children. They were divorced in 2009 but are still fighting in court.

Kyle Glover was Tameka’s son from a previous relationship. She has two children with Usher, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.
