Usher has put out a statement thanking the men who rescued his son, Raymond V, who almost died in a pool accident.

As I mentioned yesterday, he jumped in a pool to recover a toy and got his arm caught in the drain. He couldn't free himself, and the efforts of his aunt and maid were fruitless.

The boy was helped by two contractors who heard the screams of the terrified maid. He also gave Raymond CPR until the EMTs arrived.

The singer met his son at the hospital, where the latter was treated in the ICU. The little boy is now recovering, Access Hollywood reports.

“I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them,” the “Voice” coach says.
