We’ve already told you that some Windows 7 users were experiencing Blue Screen of Death errors after deploying one of the updates released by Microsoft last week, but it seems like the same bulletin is at fault for one more issue with the operating system.

Several consumers are now complaining that the Windows 7 KB2670838 update is disabling Aero on their computers, so most of them have no other option than to roll back the changes and skip the installation of this particular bulletin.

“After installing KB2670838 update Aero stopped working. After rolling back, Aero works again,” one user explained.

“Installing it manually with the offline installer did not help. Same problems (Aero gone) as after installing it via Windows Update,” another one added.

Others reveal even more problems caused by the update, including issues affecting the installed browsers, multimedia players or email clients.

Microsoft said that it’s all because hybrid video cards, so it’s now looking into the issue to release a fix as soon as possible.
