UserVoice suggestion calls for more options in Windows

Microsoft announced a few hours ago that Candy Crush Saga would be pre-installed in Windows 10, in a decision that more or less brings bloatware on the company's new operating system, and it was just a matter of time until users across the world started expressing their disagreement.

Posts on UserVoice, one of Microsoft's main feedback platforms, call for Microsoft not to remove Candy Crush Saga from Windows 10, but to make it an optional install, and thus give users the power to choose if they want to deploy the game or not.

“People will not buy Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 10 for free if Microsoft pre-installs pre loaded games like Candy Crush for no apparent reason unless Microsoft allows people to choose which preloaded games they want to have or not,” one of the first posts reads.

Microsoft hasn't yet explained whether Candy Crush Saga would be pre-installed automatically on Windows 10, but if that's the case, expect the number of posts like this one to grow significantly in the coming weeks and months.

“I won't update for Candy Crush”

Fortunately, there still are users who don't mind that Candy Crush Saga will be installed in Windows 10 and say that, despite this, they'll still update to the new OS because it brings important improvements in terms of security and performance.

“I only plan to move to Windows 10 to ensure my commitment to maximum cybersecurity and to gain new functions like continuity and next level user experiences, not to play that game,” Softpedia reader Dancer told us in a comment.

Windows 10 will be released in July or August, and there still are a number of things to be clarified about pre-installed games, as we still don't know whether this will be an optional install or not. Also, it's not yet clear if the same game is set to be offered with Windows 10 Mobile too, which, according to our information, should arrive in October.
