Some users applaud the ad, while others criticize the company for its strategy

Microsoft has launched an anti-iPad Windows 8 commercial a couple of days ago, showing everyone that its operating system makes every tablet out there a lot better.

While it’s up to users to decide which tablet is actually better, many consumers have actually criticized the Redmond-based software giant for its new strategy of launching direct attacks at its rivals.

The latest video currently has more than 60,000 views, even though it has been online for approximately 48 hours, but opinions are still mixed on whether it’s a good thing or not to criticize the products launched by competition.

Here are a few comments published on the YouTube page of the clip:

“I think that this should be the only way to advertise your product. They compare quality right here instead of saying: ‘It's good, buy it!’ Instead of having dull marketing apple needs to respond with arguments.”

“I love both companies, but Microsoft is right, iPad is more like a bigger version of iPod touch than a REAL tablet + it's very expensive!”

“Not implying anything but I think using another company's product specifically to point out the bads of it isn't the best thing; without permission that is.”

“In my opinion the user interface on windows 8 is better than on the iPad. The ecosystem on the other hand is much more mature on IOS.”

“I think this is absolutely useless, W8 will never keep up with iPad.”

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft continues such attempts supposed either to advertise its products as compared to those developed by competition or to reveal the unfair practices used by its rivals.

Google knows this very well, as the search giant has been the target of several other Microsoft attacks, including the Scroogled attacks that are currently aimed at its shopping search service, Gmail, and Google Play.
