The search in Ubuntu 13.10 is not a perfect tool and it causes minor problems occasionally

An Ubuntu user has posted an interesting image about a search item in Ubuntu 13.10, when he tried to find an application called Brasero, which is used to burn CDs and DVDs.

The user has complained on Reddit that he was looking for Brasero in Unity's dash, at his workplace and with his boss by his side. The results contained a lot of women wearing bras.

For one, he didn't actually searched brasero, he just typed bra and Unity displayed the results of that search. One might say that he actually got a very good response.

On the other hand, very few people, including myself, actually type the entire name of the applications they are looking for.

There are a couple of solutions to this problem. Either you close the online search entirely from the Settings or you use a key combination before searching. If you open Unity with Superkey (Windows key) and A, you will only search locally. You will only find the bras on the computer and not the ones online.

We tried to replicate the problem, but none of the results we got shared any similarities with the ones showed in the image above. If you've encountered this kind of search issues, don't hesitate to share them with the rest of us.
