It looks kind of like a bean on wheels, but we've seen stranger things

It's one thing to 3D print some components for a very complex machine, and another to 3D print all of it, but that's what the folks at Kor Elogic did: they made a car. 3D printed a full-on car.

And I don't mean a little replica that can be held in both hands. Sure, there's a model like that too, but the real thing was constructed as well.

It took three months to do it (since it still had to be made piece by piece) but the result was pretty promising: a three-wheeled, 1,200-pound / vehicle that consumes just 10 gallons of fuel on a cross-country trip from one edge of the US to the other.

The hybrid engine uses ethanol and an electric motor, and it's not 3D printed from what we can tell. The shell and interior both are though.

Urbee is pretty tiny too (that's the name of the car by the way). Stay tuned for a more detailed look now that it got past Kickstarter.
