Women who love shoes as much as Carrie Bradshaw loves her Jimmy Choos know how hard they’re to come by, especially in this economy. If you’re a fan of shopping online, this may mean even more problems for you.

Luckily, there are websites that help women create their own designs. Such is the case of Upper Street, a place where ladies have countless options and alternatives to choose from, and from where they can’t but leave satisfied.

“Certifiable shoe obsessives and sisters Julia and Katy were frustrated by fruitless shopping trips to find the perfect shoe. They wanted a way to bring their own shoe design ideas to life,” reads a post on the aforementioned site.

“So they hit on the idea of UpperStreet.com, where women could create their own unique pair of beautiful handmade designer shoes from the comfort of their home,” the same post explains.

Women can choose from a series of models, sizes and materials to create the shoe of their dreams or even replicate a model they saw on a favorite celebrity.

“Upper Street’s launch range of classic designs with a contemporary twist was developed by Rosa Fior, a leading London-based shoe designer who has worked for major designer brands such as Paul Smith and Emma Hope,” the post goes on to say.

“Julia and Katy strive to make UpperStreet a place where design, quality and individuality merge. They take huge pleasure in enabling women to design and wear shoes that will make them feel unique and special,” reads the post.

In all fairness, women can choose from so many models, colors and textures that they may also end up having some fun while doing their shopping.

For instance, the image attached took 10 minutes tops to create, during which time we also received valuable tips as to which model to choose, which color goes better with which, and whether we should opt for straps or not.

The result is this shoe made with patent leather and snakeskin, and a strap adorned with Swarovski crystals, guaranteed to sparkle every time we make a step.

For every one of the 7 steps required to design it, we received good advice, which prevented us from ruining the beautiful design.

Of course, this shoe doesn’t come that cheap – it’s priced at £220 – but, undoubtedly, should we decide to purchase it, at least we’d know for certain no one else would have the exact same pair.
