Ubisoft is set to extend the platforms supported by its Uplay online service this November when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are released, as games for the two platforms will come with features that use Uplay, just like on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Ubisoft uses uPlay as a means of digitally distributing its own games for the PC platform and, on consoles, as a way to ensure achievements and statistics are monitored for players of its games.

Now, the service is set to arrive on the PS4 and Xbox One, as Ubisoft has confirmed, via Eurogamer, that the next-gen editions of games like Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, The Division, or The Crew, would have support for Uplay.

The service will monitor the Uplay points of the player, which can be redeemed for extra content and much more.

Plenty of details about the Uplay experience on the PS4 and Xbox One are going to appear soon enough.
