Another stable branch of the Linux kernel is available for download

Ben Hutchings announced yesterday, October 31, the immediate availability for download of Linux kernel 3.2.33.

Linux kernel 3.2.33 introduces a lot of various fixes, as well as driver improvements, network fixes, and improved Arch support.

Highlights of Linux kernel 3.2.33 LTS:

• ptrace interaction with force_successful_syscall_return() has been fixed; • Line counting in fb_write has been repaired; • Resets are misrouted for the TPC protocol; • New system added for Compliance Mode Patch on SN65LVPE502CP; • A crash that occurred when generating IPv6 packets has been repaired; • The usage of smp_processor_id() has been removed in pre-emptible code; • Lucid nohandoff pci quirk has been fixed in order to be more generic with BIOS versions; • The dmi check is now less strict; • More ZTE devices have been added to the kernel; • NAND_NO_SUBPAGE_WRITE is now allowed to be set from driver; • A problem caused by recent commit "Fix internal mic for Lenovo Ideapad U300s" has been fixed; • Bit twiddling in sparc_pmu_enable_event() has been repaired; • A case where STREAMOFF being called on stopped stream caused BUG() has been fixed; • race-condition protection for ext4_convert_unwritten_extents_endio has been implemented; • Updated AR9003 tx gain table for 5GHz; • The GPE storm threshold is now a module parameter; • DMA mask quirk for Marvell 88E8001 on ASUS P5NSLI motherboard has been added; • Endless looping between cascade() and internal_add_timer() have been fixed.
