ESPN is out with a brand new version of its TV app for iOS customers, adding full support for the upcoming iOS 7, as well as a cool Live Toolbar on iPads.

WatchESPN version 1.7 lets you keep up with news, scores and on-demand video from your favorite sporting events without having to turn away from live programming, thanks to the all-new Live Toolbar.

Accessible only through the iPad version of the app, the live toolbar included lets you see what's on ESPN's networks and, without exiting the video, switch to additional ESPN programming.

You can follow more games while watching your favorite one, see video highlights at the end of an event, watch multiple videos simultaneously, and much more.

ESPN is allowing users connecting from a college or military network to access ESPN3 events automatically, while “ESPN on ABC” events will now appear in the iOS app as well.

“Selecting these events will bring you into the WatchABC app,” says ESPN.

Finally, WatchESPN is now compatible with iOS 7 and requires a minimum iOS 6 to run.
