14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of the Soundtracker application is now available for download the owners of for Series 40 devices as version 2.6.1.
According to the team of developers behind the application, the main purpose of the new release is to reduce the amount of bandwidth that the software uses.
“This update to the Series 40 version (v2.6.1) switches from MP3 to AAC+ playback. The music files are now about one third the size, thereby saving data bandwidth,” a post on Nokia Beta Labs reads.
The new flavor of the app comes only several days after a major refresh was made available for download for Nokia users, including those who own S40 devices.
