In addition to the new BBM 2.0 for Android and iOS devices, BlackBerry has also announced the availability of an updated version of the Messenger for BlackBerry 10 devices, so as to provide users with some new features and enhancements.

As part of the update, users will receive location sharing capabilities, new emoticons and Dropbox integration, the same as Android and iOS users did.

Legacy BlackBerry phones will also get a taste of the update, though not all the new features will be available for them.

“The new version of BBM on BlackBerry (BBM v.10.3) will be available on BlackBerry 10. BlackBerry OS5 and above will also be updated but will not include location sharing or Dropbox integration,” the company announced.

The new app versions should go live in the BlackBerry World soon, on this page for BlackBerry 10 handsets, and via this link for older handsets.
