The Mountain View Company has neither denied nor confirmed the speculations that will have it involved with the creation of an online storage service named GDrive. And such a strategy
may prove to be an effective publicity technique as yet since information seems to surface more and more and bringing actual details about Google possible plans.
Recent data provided by sources outside of the company have identified the GDrive project as codenamed Platypus and have even revealed some intimate aspects involving it. While Google has not taken an official stand in respect to these new speculations, the company is ignoring the matter completely, allowing the amount of truth underlining the rumors to remain an in house secret.
With GDrive, Google will attempt to offer users infinite online storage space. Furthermore, customers will be able to gain access to their files from any platform, device or operating system they might be running. The GDrive would act as back-up for all the files on a stationary or mobile device, users being able to replace any lost or otherwise compromised files by simply accessing Platypus. The Google Drive would also comprise multi-user features along with immediate access from any location. The only limitation of this initiative would be those generated by bandwidth and the security issues of adjacent to any online project.
