The development team at Wargaming has announced that it has launched the 8.0 update for their online game World of Tanks, which introduces a whole new physics system to the game and makes tank behavior more realistic.

This is the most important update that the game has received since it was launched in April of last year and it also introduces better visuals to the tank combat titles, alongside new options linked to the mini-map and adaptive camouflage for the tanks.

The 8.0 update for World of Tanks also adds four new tank destroyers to the USSR tech tree and the Matilda Black Prince variant is available for purchase in the in-game store.

Moreover, Wargaming is now running a beta stage for World of Warplanes, which uses a similar set of mechanics for the aerial battles of World War II, and is also developing World of Warships for a 2013 release.
