Zenimax Online Studios, the developer of the recently released The Elder Scrolls Online, has revealed some of the many different improvements it has planned for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, while offering existing players 5 days of extra game time as an apology for the extended outages.

The Elder Scrolls Online has been officially available for almost a month on the PC and Mac platforms, and developer Zenimax Online Studios has been busy releasing different game patches while trying to combat and punish those who use bots, cheats, hacks, or who try to sell in-game gold.

In an effort to clarify the many improvements coming to the game, Director Matt Firor has posted a new announcement on the official website.

He started with the commitment to stop gold farming and bots inside the game, as well as the effort to solve bugs that detract from the whole experience, not to mention those that block various quests.

A big patch designed to improve missions was released last week, and Firor emphasized that more would follow, alongside the actual Update 1 for The Elder Scrolls Online, which is already in the Public Test Server.

In case you forgot, Update 1 will bring forth Craglorn, the first Adventure Zone designed for veteran groups, not to mention Trials, which are special raid-like instances for experienced players. A death recap system, not to mention underdog bonuses, is also set to be a part of the major patch.

Besides these actual new things, improvements to animations, combat, class abilities, content, and much more are also included in the update.

In future updates and patches, Firor revealed that many other changes were coming, such as a justice system, field of view adjustment, armor dyeing and tinting, more veteran dungeons, a new region for Craglorn complete with a fresh Trial, increased ability to pick up items in the world, or storylines involving the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

Check out a list with the rest of the features below.

- A system that allows grouped players to see each other even when they’re in different phases - Migration of European Megaserver to our European datacenter. - Spellcrafting - Horse Racing - Dragonstar Arena—similar to Trials, but built for a group of four - Improvements to fishing - Crafting system improvements - Improved Looking for Group system - Better NPC facial animations - Guild functionality updates: guild store interface updates, customizable guild insignias, tabards, and guild ranks, and Guild Kiosks—guild stores open to everyone that are available to the highest-bidding guild. - Auto-leveling dungeons that level to your group leader - Awards when you repeat dungeons - Imperial City PvP dungeon

Last but not least, as a token of appreciation for those that had to endure the lengthy and quite common server outages for The Elder Scrolls Online, Firor revealed that they'd see 5 days of extra game time added to their existing 30 days of subscription that came with the actual game.

"To show our gratitude to everyone who supported the launch, we are giving an additional five days of included game time to every ESO player who set up an active account prior to 8pm EDT Thursday May 1st and who are currently enjoying their 30 days of included game time. If you’re eligible to receive the five additional days, a confirmation will be sent to your account’s registered email address," he said.

The Elder Scrolls Online will debut for PS4 and Xbox One in June.
