Now that the Fedora 19 Alpha has been released earlier today, I am happy to introduce you to the features of the next major release of the Fedora Linux operating system.

Fedora 19 will be dubbed Schrödinger's Cat and it will be released sometime this summer, probably after many delays. The development cycle of Fedora 19 comprised an Alpha release and a Beta version. Without any further ado, here are some of the features that will be part of Fedora 19:

· GNOME 3.8; · KDE Plasma Workspaces 4.10; · MATE Desktop 1.6; · 3D printing support; · Anaconda Realm integration; · GCC 4.8.x; · GLIBC 2.17; · Java Runtime Environment 8; · MinGW GCC 4.8; · PHP 5.5; · RPM 4.11; · Ruby 2.0.0; · Systemtap 2.2; · Thermostat 1.0; · QXL/Spice KMS driver; · Node.js; · JRuby 1.7; · BIND10; · GNU Guile 2.x.

Download Fedora 19 Alpha right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is an alpha version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
