Justin Bieber got a lot of help from Photoshop for his Calvin Klein underwear ads, according to a new report and a leaked photo purported to be the “before” shot. He also acted like a spoiled brat during the shoot, hit on model Lara Stone and “instructed” the photographer to make him look better in the final photos.

Kim Kardashian might have shown off her most famous asset in all its glory to #BreakTheInternet, but Justin Bieber can do it by simply posing in his skivvies, that much is clear.

Here’s what we know.

Photo shows slender frame, less definition of muscle

The photo that is supposed to be the “before” shot first emerged on a Britney Spears fansite called Breathe Heavy, which claimed to have obtained it from a reliable source on the set of the film. So it was legit.

With it also came this statement from the insider, “He was basically a douche. He hit on Lara several times and she had to stop him, basically calling him out on being just a child... Bieber specified he wanted to look taller and buff. Bigger bulge implied.”

So, the photo showed a smaller torso on Bieber, less definition on all his muscles, a considerably smaller frame, and a smaller bulge. The Instagram below will show you the differences between the alleged “before” and the after shot, but you can also see them in the side-by-side comparison attached to this article.

Various major media outlets picked up on the photo and reported on it as being legit, without questioning its authenticity. From here on, the Internet did the rest, picking on Justin in a variety of ways, many of which we can’t even reproduce in writing without blushing.

A retraction, a theory

Breathe Heavy has backed down on the initial story after Bieber’s people contacted them and demanded a retraction. The original post has been replaced with said retraction, which even includes a statement from the pop star’s personal trailer, who hilariously confirms that The Biebs is packing, just like he seems to be in the official CK print.

Seeing something like this as an official statement might be funny, but it’s also the key to seeing the proof that the “before” photo is a fake: all you have to do is look at the shadow on the crotch. It’s the same in both photos and it would make no sense for it to be there in the unretouched photo, because there would be nothing to cast it.

Moreover, everything about Bieber in the “before” shot is smaller, down to his hands – but the head is the same size and it seems disproportionate with the rest of the body and makes him look as if he’s barely able to support it on his slender neck.

There are also the countless paparazzi photos available online from 2014: Bieber might be a lot of things, but he’s no longer the scrawny kid he was when he first entered teenage years.

Granted, he probably doesn’t have the same muscle definition on his abs as seen in the CK print ads, but he’s considerably muscular, whereas the alleged “before” shot looks nothing like him.

Breathe Heavy is also saying now that Bieber acted like a professional on set, so that part about him being a douche is not true either. Those who know that he used to throw tantrums during interviews if he was touched will probably refrain from buying that.
