It's quite a well-known fact that GPU manufacturer NVIDIA works quite closely with some of the world's best-known PC games' manufacturers, including here Epic Games, who's actually developed their famous Unreal Engine 3, using the GTX 500 series graphics cards.

Quite obvious, the relationship between the two companies is not exactly a big novelty, but we have to admit that the results of their collaboration are quite impressive, given the fact that the Unreal Engine 3 has garnered universal acclaim ever since it was introduced (and after all, it's quite a serious roster of games built on it to prove its worth, such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bulletstorm, Infinity Blade, Gears of War 2, Mass Effect 2 or Medal of Honor, just to name a few.

Also, the same engine (featuring a few updates, that we'll talk about later on) will be used for some exciting new PC games that will become available on the market in the near future, such as Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, Mass Effect 3, Mortal Kombat and BioShock Infinite.

Now, moving back to the topic of updates, it's important to point out that NVIDIA and Epic Games worked closely together in order to implement the former's numerous display technologies, such as NVIDIA PhysX, APEX and 3D Vision Technologies, that combine to provide users with a much more immersive gaming experience.

And it would seem that their partnership has been quite a fruitful one, given the fact that all parties who license the aforementioned engine will get out of the box support for all of the aforementioned technologies.

In other words, NVIDIA's making it possible for gamers to get even more visually-impressive games, a lot faster, which is quite an commendable effort (especially if said gamers use the company's graphics cards, of course).
