Assuming Valve doesn’t bury developers with C&D letters

DOTA addicts may or may not be pleased by the fact that their favorite game will soon get a mobile correspondent on Android and iOS platforms that will play a little different.

Developed by Picklenauts, a small independent group of game artists from Serbia, this unofficial DOTA 2 game is a cross over between Valve’s MOTA and fighting games.

It looks like only two people are currently working to bring this game on the mobile platform, but developers seem to be willing to co-opt anyone who wishes to contribute to releasing the title on Android and iOS as fast as possible.

Unfortunately, making a game that copies aspects, to some extent, of another one such as DOTA without Valve’s approval may prove fatal in the end.

We will probably never hear of Picklenauts if Valve decides to send them a “cease and desist” letter, or we might as well become addicted to yet another DOTA game that plays on mobiles.

Check out below some of the artwork already published by the developers and some of their words of wisdom regarding their game that is now a work in progress: “Our current quest brought us at a doorstep of a popular MOBA game, you all should know as DOTA2. If you don’t, shame on you!

Picking up a fight against unsuspecting creeps over and over, or team of skilled players, often posed a question. Will there ever be a face-off 1 vs 1 in deadly combat? Well it is our quest to try and make that possible.”
