Owners of a Galaxy Note II phablet on the network of wireless carrier Verizon can now grab an unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 build for their devices so as to enjoy the benefits of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The unofficial build has emerged over at rootzwiki and requires for the bootloader of the Galaxy Note II to be unlocked.

According to the user who unveiled the ROM, all files from /sdcard will be moved to /sdcard/0 on the first boot, meaning that users will need to manually move them back if they want to revert back to Android 4.1.

This is an alpha release, and it might sport various bugs, so users should keep that in mind if they plan on installing it. All the necessary info on the ROM and how to install it can be found in this forum thread.
