Samsung Galaxy S5, the latest Android-based flagship from the South Korean mobile phone maker, is set to become officially available around the world on April 11, though retailers are already listing it as in stock.

Users in the United States who will head over to Amazon will find the device available unlocked through third-party retailers, with a price tag starting at $824.99 (€599).

The phone is listed unlocked, but the price tag is certainly high enough even so. Said retailers claim that they have the mobile phone in stock, and that they will be able to ship it for free within 2 business days.

Chances are that Galaxy S5 t will be much cheaper once it becomes officially available for purchase, though there might be some users willing to pay more for it, in the hope that they will receive it before anyone else.

For the time being, however, it would be a better idea to wait for several days longer in order to grab the device at the right price tag, as PhoneArena notes.

In the meantime, however, those who would like to have a look at the aforementioned offers on the unlocked Galaxy S5, which is available only in White, should head over to this page on Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy S5 was made official in late February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with a nice range of enhancements over last year’s Galaxy S4 model.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a 5.1-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.

The new device was also unveiled with 2GB of RAM packed inside, as well as with 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of external storage.

Moreover, it sports a 16-megapixel camera on the back, capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, as well as a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of the smartphone includes 4G LTE connectivity capabilities, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, a built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors, to which Samsung added a fingerprint scanner in the home button, and a hear rate sensor on the back.

Samsung Galaxy S5 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI loaded on top, boasting a variety of exclusive applications and software features. The phone also has a dust- and water-proof design.
