There have been lots of rumors surrounding Nokia 808 PureView’s launch in the UK, but we still don’t have a confirmed release date.

Although Nokia initially stated that the smartphone would be available on the market in late May, it looks like the PureView 808’s launch in the UK has been pushed back for unknown reasons.

Lots of UK-based retailers are now expecting to receive the Nokia 808 PureView in late June or late July. According to Amazon UK, Nokia 808 PureView will be released on June 21 for 500 GBP (780 USD or 625 EUR) outright.

On the other hand, Clove UK has yet to confirm the official availability of the smartphone, though it mentions that Nokia 808 PureView will arrive in stock in mid-late July. Color options are to be confirmed as well.

Even though Amazon UK expected to receive the smartphone much earlier than other authorized retailers, the estimated release date and price may be subject to change.

It is also worth mentioning that Amazon UK will initially offer the black version of the Nokia 808 PureView, but other color variants may be released soon after.

Nokia 808 PureView will be the first smartphone to be shipped with Nokia Belle FP1 out of the box, but the handset is expected to receive another FP2 update probably by the end of the year.

Still, the phone’s main selling point is the 41-megapixel monster camera, which features Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Nokia’s top tier smartphone will be powered by a 1.3 GHz single-core ARM 11 processor, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.

Nokia 808 PureView packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD. Check it out here.
