The first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphones announced by HTC, the Titan and Radar are now available for pre-order in the United States.

Several weeks ahead of the official releases of the smartphones, CellHut retailer is taking pre-orders for HTC Titan, which is priced at $799.99 (about 605 EUR) and HTC Radar, which will go for $599.99 (about 454 EUR).

Unfortunately, the retailer does not mention any availability date for the smartphones, but judging by the official announcement both should be available around the holiday season.

However, while the HTC Titan will be available via AT&T, the HTC Radar is expected to hit shelves at T-Mobile USA, so an unlocked version of either of the two Windows Phone smartphones is not such a bad idea.

Although the phones are clearly overpriced at this moment, their retail price may drop considerably closer to their launch date, especially that Nokia is also expected to release a few Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices by the end of the year.

HTC Titan and Radar made their first appearance at IFA 2011 trade fair, in early September, and are expected to arrive in stores by the end of October.

According to the latest hearsay, both phones will be available for purchase in the UK on October 15, while Netherlands will get them even earlier on October 4.

Obviously, both smartphones come with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and are HSDPA-enabled. HTC Titan features a huge 4.7-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, while the Radar comes with a much smaller 3.8-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen.

Furthermore, the Titan is delivered with a powerful 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 graphics processing unit (GPU), while the HTC Radar features only a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU and the same GPU.
