Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone, its latest Android-based flagship device, is expected to arrive on shelves in the United States sometime in summer, but those who can hardly wait for it can already reserve a unit for the launch day.

When unveiling the new smartphone, Samsung announced that it would hit shelves in Europe starting with late May, but that users in the US could see it in June at the earliest.

The US flavor of the smartphone arrives with support for 4G LTE networks and is said to feature a different application processor than the International version.

Users interested in the device can now pre-order it via two third-party retailers in the country, namely Expansys and Negri Electronics.

At Expansys, the phone is listed as unlocked and SIM-free, with a price tag of $694.99 (around 540 Euro) attached to it for the 16GB flavor. Both White and Blue versions are available.

The phone features the 1.4 GHz Quad-core Samsung Exynos chip from Samsung and will offer support for 2.5G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE): 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz and 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz networks (on AT&T and T-Mobile).

Negri Electronics also has the device up for pre-order on its website, with all three storage variants included: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

The price tag for Galaxy S III at this retailer ranges from $695.50 (540 Euro) for the 16GB flavor to $805.50 (625 Euro) for the 32GB model and $915.50 (710 Euro) for the 64GB variant.

Unfortunately, no info on the phone’s exact availability was provided for the time being by either of the two retailers.

However, we do know that the device is set to arrive on the UK on May 29th or on the 30th, as Clove notes on its website. The retailer has put the smartphone up for pre-order as well, at £499.99 ($800 / 625 Euro - VAT included) for the 16GB flavor.
