Newegg, one of the few third party retailers that sells the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States has just slashed $60 (45 EUR) off the smartphone’s price and is offering the device for $700 (530 EUR).

Customers who cannot wait for Verizon to come out with its Galaxy Nexus smartphone may want to take into consideration Newegg’s deal on the handset.

On the other hand, the retailer may drop the price even more as soon as the phone goes live at Verizon Wireless. The carrier is expected to launch the Galaxy Nexus sometime by year’s end for $300 (225 EUR) with a new two-year agreement.

On a side note, Canadian Android fans can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Bell Canada or Virgin Mobile carriers since earlier this week.
