Google Video is a very popular service that enables users to upload their videos and share them with the entire community. When we say community, we think of other members besides friends, family or mates. So, when you decide to upload a video, it is supposed that you'll
understand the fact that you'll be making it available to public.
There are users that want to remove their video from Google's service because it contains family or personal-related elements that make the movie private. So, what's the procedure?
"If you have a video you'd rather not share with the entire world, you can choose to restrict access to it by marking it as "unlisted". Similar to an unlisted telephone number that isn't available in public phone number databases, videos that have been unlisted are not accessible through Google Video search results. This option is especially useful for family videos. Just set your video to "unlisted" and email the link to your family and friends," Google says.
"There are two ways to unlist a video. To upload an unlisted video, visit
this site and select the "Unlisted" radio button before you upload. To unlist a video that is already available on Google Video or that was uploaded via the desktop uploader: Find the video you want to unlist and click the link that says "Edit Video Info". Then, find the "Access" option and select the "Unlisted" radio button."
