US TV network Univision has reached a non-exclusive content agreement with Hulu for most of their prime time TV shows and movies.

The announcement got lost in many news rooms after  Apple announced the death of their legendary and highly respected founder and former CEO, Steve Jobs.

The deal's financial details weren't made public, but expect to see prime time Univision programming on Hulu by the end of the year.

Univision is currently ranked number five amongst all US TV networks, and the main Spanish-language TV network. It is also the third most popular TV network for Americans between 18 and 34 years old.

The US Hispanic population is approximated at over 50 million, and constantly growing every year.

Hulu will be re-running from Univision popular TV shows, comedies, reality shows and their world-wide famous telenovelas (Latin soap operas).

Some of the Univision content will be available to regular Hulu users, while Hulu Plus subscribers will have extra content that they can (re-)view.

The agreement does not exclusively bind Univison TV shows and telenovelas to Hulu, many of them still being available on Univision's main site.

Nevertheless, Hulu users will have next-day access to most of Univision's current season programming.

The show line-up wasn't disclosed, but judging from the fact that Univision holds 24 of the 25 most popular Spanish TV programs in the US, anything thrown Hulu's way is a bonified hit however you look at it.

Right now Hulu delivers free and paid online TV shows from four of America's top five networks. The other three are ABC, FOX and NBC.

In related news, Hulu CEO Jason Kilar blogged that Hulu Plus revenue projections are now over the 50% mark and will bring in half of Hulu's income in the next year. Currently Hulu Plus has just around over 1 million subscribers.
