It can extend Wi-Fi coverage by up to 40 percent, give or take

Wi-Fi networks are becoming really widespread these days, but the number of people who access it every second is growing at an arguably faster rate. Range extenders aren't a solution to that, but they can help in other ways.

TP-LINK has just released a range extender, called TL-WA850RE.

The full name is 300 Mbps Universal Wireless N Range Extender. Obviously, that means the top speed is of 300 Mbps. TP-LINK promises a range extension of 40%.

So while it won't become easier for more people to use wireless Internet from the same modem, they will, at least, not need to stay clustered together to try.

To use it, just plug it into a wall power socket and place it between the main router and the area where you want the network extended.

The built-in range extender button quickly pairs the Range Extender with the main router, provided you press the WPS button at the same time.

Login credentials are retained internally after setup, so relocation is easy too.

Retailers should already have the product on their lists, for $39.99 / €30 – 39.99.
