Not that this comes as any surprise, but “The Bourne Legacy” and “Ted” will be getting sequels. NBC Universal’s Steve Brurke has just confirmed this, Deadline reports.

Speaking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, Brurke has confirmed what movie buffs have been talking about for quite some time now.

“The Bourne Legacy” starring Jeremy Renner and the R-rated comedy “Ted,” with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, will get follow-ups because Universal is looking to start as many franchises as possible.

“The key is to go from making one film every 18 months to making two a year,” Brurke said.

As of now, neither “Ted” nor “Bourne” have estimated release dates for the sequels.
