Unity Technologies announces that all companies who are planning to create video games using Unity 4.2 will be able to enter an early access program in order to get their title launched on Windows 8 and Windows RT via the official Store.

Representative Vilmantas Balasevicius states, “This opens up a new global platform for you to reach even more people eager to play great Unity-authored games and interactive content.”

Developers interested in early access will get to test the new platform, identify and then report bugs, and also talk to the development team in order to help Unity create the best engine they can.

Video games created by Unity that have found success on the Windows Store include: Orcs Must Survive, Big Buck Hunter and Drift Mania Championship 2.

Companies should check out the conditions and enroll on the official website.
