The United States Army has announced that it is looking for a new company to create a complex military shooter that it can use in order to train its troops in the coming years.

The request from proposals issued by the Pentagon includes a list of technical specifications that runs for no less than 243 pages and an additional content checklist that occupies another 13.

The United States Army is looking for a game that can deliver real-life conditions, including the ability to call in artillery fire, the ability to run medevac missions and situations where those who train need to deal with suicide bombers.

The focus of the new United States Army shooter will be on small wars and anti-insurgency missions, delivering the same kind of operations that the armed forces now perform in real life.

At the moment, the organization is relying on Virtual Battlespace 2 from Bohemia Interactive, a company that is currently also working on ArmA III.
