GlacialTech announced the launch of a new line of computer cases which are especially designed to be used in systems aimed at the role of Media Centers. The two models from GlacialTech are part of a bigger collection of products, the A380 range and they are now available under the commercial name Adularia while coming in two opposing colors, Rock black and Glacier silver, aiming to perfectly match all environments.

The manufacturing company is proud to present the
two lightweight computer cases that thanks to their design provide a quiet working environment, perfect for a total multimedia experience. One of the most important features of a computer case, the airflow system, is specially designed and it will ''facilitate long life to all components that are placed within the solid lightweight structure'', according to the press release concerning the launch of the two new Media Center type computer cases.

The Adularia line of computer cases comes with a number of premium features designed to make computing a joy. The presence of the two front high speed USB ports as well as the audio and speaker extensions allows users to easily expand the functionality of the system. Another good point of the Adularia Media Center line of products is the presence on the frontal panel of a multi format card reader that supports up to 52 distinct types of memory cards. An IR receiver is also embedded into the same area, allowing users to use a remote control compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista.

In order to power the Media Center chassis, GlacialTech integrated a high quality and a high energy efficiency power supply unit that has a maximum power output of 270W, more than enough to supply the needed energy to a high end digital home entertainment system.

The cooling system consists of separate components for hard disk drive (a cooling fan with 1500rpm) and two low noise 60mm fans that operate at 1500rpm. In order to provide users with a maximum of flexibility, the two cases from GlacialTech come with support for both full ATX and micro-ATX mainboards as well as two 3.5 inch and one 5.25 inch drive bays. As the Media Center intended cases are built from lightweight materials like aluminum, the total weight of such a chassis is only 6KG.
