Green living is all about giving up on fuel-powered means of getting around every once in a while and opting for your run-off-the-mill bicycle instead.

Or at least this is what environmentalists keep saying.

However, thanks to a collaboration between furniture company Thonet and an architect by the name of Andy Martin, greenheads can now purchase a bicycle made from bent wood which is anything but ordinary.

Sources inform us that these Thonet bicycles are made by Steam bending beech wood, and that they are amazingly lightweight and smooth.

Granted, it costs about $69,000 (roughly ₤43,000 / €53,250) to purchase one of these bikes, seeing how they are limited edition, but they do look rather cool, so odds are that some greenheads will give this idea due consideration.
