Uninstall Tool from CrystalIdea has received an update over the weekend, to build 3.3, which is compatible with Windows 8 and includes modifications designed to improve its functionality.

The developer included a tree-view for application updates and main entries can be expanded to see all the children.

Also new is the possibility to select the initial sorting criteria for the list of programs. This option is available in the configuration panel of the application. The crash report has been improved, as users can now send the details in case of critical errors.

Further improvements present in this release touch on the algorithm for searching a program’s installation path and icon.

Starting this build, users can keep all the details about the traced items when deciding to remove Uninstall Tool. Head to this page for the full list of changes in this revision.
