Sources say that she feels it's all too little too late

If you can pry yourself from the huge media exposure that's currently taking place to cover the recent 2014 Oscars, you'll find that the scandal between Paula Patton and Robin Thicke is still going on, a little under the radar, but it's happening.

For those that are still catching up on the entire affair, last week the Patton-Thicke couple released a common announcement by which they made it public that they were getting a divorce, but it was a mutual agreement and that they would remain friends.

Now it looks as though the divorce was entirely Paula's idea who apparently got tired of Robin's indiscretions, of which only a few escaped in the media. It's been speculated that Thicke's raunchy performance at the VMAs with Miley Cyrus was the final straw for Patton who was left humiliated in the eyes of the world.

Robin has been on a “get Paula back” campaign as he's been saying left and right how he plans on winning her back and how he's lost without her. Apart from the interviews, Robin has also been dedicating songs to her during concerts, sending her flowers and basically just acting remorseful.

And all the crying he's been doing on stage is not pushing any buttons for his estranged wife, who isn't impressed by his man-tears into giving up her idea of the divorce. She feels that he still has to prove himself. TMZ claims that Paula, who hasn't hired a divorce lawyer just yet, is at the moment keeping a very careful watch on her husband, by simply checking out the news. She's paying attention to his concerts, who he hangs out with, which parties he attends and the photos that make their way online.

She is said to be viewing the paparazzi as her very own private detectives, since they have their cameras firmly trained on him after the divorce.

There is some hope for the singer as over the weekend, Paula posted a photo on her Instagram which quoted the old saying “if you love something let it go, if it comes back to you it's yours, if it doesn't it never was, and it's not meant to be,” which some viewed as an invitation to reconciliation.

At the moment, it can go either way for seemingly remorseful Robin, so he has to be extra careful how he treads from here on in order to save his marriage. Big Brother Paula Patton is always watching.
