Oil Rush, the flagship game of the Unigine real-time 3D engine, is now working on Steam for Linux, although it's still in the beta stages.

Oil Rush is developed by the Unigine Corp, the same company who is responsible for the Heaven Benchmark, a GPU-intensive software benchmark that forces the graphics cards to the limits.

The game is basically a tower defense game, combined with a real-time strategy. According to the developer, players will be able to capture, upgrade, and defend floating production platforms and oil rigs, discover new technologies and send squads of naval and air units into the battle.

Even if it's now playable in the Steam for Linux, it still has some bugs. You won't be able to take screenshots and it might crash Compiz.
