There is not much to say about Insignia. The company is not among the top leaders on the market, therefore its activity was not very much debated on the Internet.

However, the company has recently announced the launching of two brand new players. The newcomers were dubbed the "Pilot" and the "Sport", they are both Bluetooth capable and reveal some clear improvements since the
previous Video and Amigo players in design and functionality.

The first player on the list, the Pilot, features 4 to 8 GB storage capacity. Regarding its design, it reveals a 2.4" TFT LCD screen display. As for its capabilities, it can deal with most of the file formats on the market, such as MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WmA DRM, WMA Pro, OGG, WAV, Audible, as well as MPEG-4, WMV at 30fps, as video file formats.

But, if somehow the storage capacity proves to be insufficient, you can use the SD-expansion slot, to boost its memory. Additional features include the common FM tuner with RDS, while the battery life is claimed to resist up to 25 hours of audio content, and less, if playing video files. Its dimensions are not bad, either: 3.3 x 1.6 x 0.4 inch. The Pilot's price tags are of 139 to 189 bucks, respectively.

The next player on the company's portfolio is the Sport player, which features 2 or 4GB storage capacity. Its design reveals a 1.7 inch TFT display. It can easily read the most popular files on the market, such as MP3, WMA, WMA lossless, WMA DRM and OGG file formats.

The video capability allows MPEG-4 formats at 15fps speed. But, as usual the owners can use the built-in micro SD expansion slot to boost its memory capacity. This one also

has an included FM tuner. The battery life is still of 25 hours of continuous playing.

Its measures just as much as the Pilot, whereas the price tags are visibly smaller of only 99 bucks for the 2GB one and 119 bucks for the 4GB model. After all this, it's pretty clear Insignia is trying to focus on some hard stuff. Both players should be available by the end of this month, which is great, also!
