Emergency workers from Mooroopna, northern Victoria, Australia had to deal with a rather hilarious emergency when an undressed man playing hide and seek with his wife got stuck in the washing machine and had to be rescued with lubricants.

Officers called at the spot were slightly amused at the sight of a 20-year-old man stuck inside the top loading appliance. According to police officers, it was a case of a prank gone wrong, as the unclothed man was trying to hide from his partner in the machine and then discovered he couldn't get out of it anymore.

When the embarrassed man finally decided to ask for help, assistance was more than helpful as emergency crews responded with police officers, firefighters, volunteers and rescue squad.

With a whole troupe arriving at the scene, it took just around 20 minutes to set the man free, and in order to do that they had to use oil to lubricate his skin and avoid injuries.

“He was very well wedged in there and we were concerned for his health and well-being. It was just a game gone wrong. It would be fair to say the gentleman was very embarrassed,” Police Sergeant Michelle De Araugo said according to Shepparton News.

But this young prankster is not the only one suffering from this kind of embarrassment as another hide-and-seek player trying to ace the game got stuck in the same situation after being unable to exit the washing machine she hid in. At least in this case, the main character was an eleven-year-old girl and not a grown-up man.

The other children playing the game tried to rescue the girl by using butter, peanut butter and even ice, but nothing worked. The girl was stuck in the machine until her mother got home and called emergency services that came and freed the girl in more than one hour.
