'Underworld: Awakening' Trailer – Still Awesome, More Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale is finally suiting up in the latex catsuit that made her the dream girl of millions of men (and women) from around the world. Here is the extended, official trailer for “Underworld: Awakening.”

The film will be out in January 2012 and, as fans must know, it took years to convince Beckinsale to reprise her role, that of gorgeous and very dangerous vampire Selene.

Now that she did, she's back: for 12 years, Selene was kept captive by the humans, during which time the world has changed completely.

Once she breaks free, she's ready to go to war. Vampires and Lycans come together to fight off a common enemy, man, who is just as determined as they are to wipe them off the face of the earth.

“Underworld: Awakening” will be released in 3D and, just by checking out the full trailer, you can see which are the scenes that will stand out in the final 3D version.

Another important lesson you get from the trailer: producers struck marketing gold by making Selene crawl on all fours through a ventilation shaft and shooting her from behind.
